Sylk City Paradigms: A Tribute to King Britt

A couple of years ago, I received an email from a Philly creative wanting to work with me for a new project. When I looked at the sender tab I was startled and starstruck when I realized it was an email from the legendary King Britt. The same King Britt that has been instrumental in creating and establishing the house/dance and Neo soul scene here in Philadelphia. As we worked together for his newest project under his moniker Fhloston Paradigm, I was completely enthralled and amazed at his creative process and how he shaped and manipulated sounds to build his own musical world. Britt not only became my mentor but my good friend. With this, I want to honor him and The Fhloston Paradigm experience by sharing my own interpretation of those projects and the sounds he created within those projects. With use of his sound packs and other sounds, I hope to create a live musical experience (live performance and recording) that truly honors his work and gives him the flowers that I feel he is greatly due.
