“SIMBY Presents: The Voices of Sisterly Affection”

Created for the nonprofit Stories In My Backyard (SIMBY) by its founder, multimedia artist, and instructional designer Kyra Williams, SIMBY Presents: The Voices of Sisterly Affection is an immersive traveling photo exhibit that honors Philly's Black music herstory from Billie Holiday to Tierra Whack. Accompanied by a VR gallery and culturally relevant photo programming held in partnership with the Philadelphia School District’s TV Station (PSTV) and the Parkway Central Free Library, this project also aims to educate our youth on artists who share their roots and motivate them as the next generation of Black storytellers.
